Reaching the Heights
On a return trip from bringing chizuk to a community abroad, my escort and I were in high spirits. We had merited strengthening the spiritual level of our fellow Jews, especially the women, who undertook new levels of tzeniut.
But the Satan also had booked a seat on our flight. He could not bear the fact that we had accomplished so much. We had asked not to be awakened for the meals, since we were not eating them in any event. Nevertheless, the Satan, disguised as a stewardess, woke us up and suggested we watch the movie, which, of course, was not on our itinerary.

We were forced to spend the rest of our flight with closed eyes, in order to avoid forbidden sights.
This is the way of the Yetzer Hara. When he notices a Jew in an elevated state, he tries to take him down a peg or two. He sends tests and temptations his way. But we must be smarter than him, in spite of the difficulties involved. In this manner, we will be able to maintain the elevation we have worked so hard to achieve.
