Returning with Merit

Returning with Merit

A seminary teacher in Aix-les-Bains once went missing. No one knew where she had disappeared to. One of the Roshei Yeshiva phoned me and asked what to do. This woman was under his jurisdiction, and he felt a sense of responsibility toward her. I immediately instructed him to light a candle in memory of the tzaddik, Rabbi Chaim Pinto, zy”a, and pray to Hashem for this woman’s return in the merit of the tzaddik. That very week, the woman returned, as if nothing had happened.

  1. With Rav Wreschner, shlita, dean of the seminary in Aix-les-Baines

To this day, no one knows where this woman was and why she was there. Her disappearance, as her reappearance, is a complete mystery. But one thing is certain: the merit of the tzaddik protected her throughout her absence and brought her safely back.
