A Time and a Place for Everything
I once needed a specific item which was not in its place. I frantically looked through all my things, in attempt to find the elusive item. I also searched through old papers which I had not touched in a very long time. Imagine my delight at finding, amidst the pile of papers, an envelope with a large sum of money!
I immediately remembered that one year ago, I had received this from someone. In the midst of doing something else, I had distractedly placed it with my papers and forgotten about it. I was extremely happy to find it now, when I desperately needed it.
The pasuk in Kohelet (3:1) came before my eyes, “Everything has its season, and there is a time for everything under the heaven.”
This envelope of money was slated to remain hidden until the time was right for it to help me when I needed it most. At that time, it simply appeared before me, without any effort on my behalf. How mysterious are Hashem’s deeds!
