A Scientific Sensation
Shira Rosenman, the daughter of the scientist, Tzvi Rosenman of the Weitzman Institute in Israel, was struck with the devastating disease, leukemia.
Her devoted parents did not let this tragic news break them. Instead, they saw it as a challenge of their faith in Hashem. They used it as an opportunity to fortify their relationship with Him by praying for their dear daughter.
At that time, I was a guest at the home of Mr. Charlie Abousséra. The Rosenmans came to pay me a visit and described their daughter’s dreadful illness, which had just been discovered some days earlier. They asked that I bless her with a complete recovery.

I acquiesced and evoked my holy ancestors’ merits to speak on her behalf and effect a speedy recovery.
Just one week later, the long-awaited miracle occurred. The girl underwent further testing. The astounded doctors informed the grateful parents that her illness had left her in a most mysterious manner. In all their years of medical expertise, they had never encountered such a situation.
For the duration of two years, the girl underwent preventive treatment to avoid a relapse. Baruch Hashem, she is now completely healthy, with no trace of her former illness.
Regarding this trying episode, her father, Mr. Tzvi Rosenman, writes:
I am a seasoned scientist, and I carry a doctorate from the Weitzman Institute. I am a person who is not easily carried away by tales of wonders and miracles. But there is not the shadow of a doubt in my mind that my daughter’s complete recovery is a result of the merging of the strong faith which my wife and I have in Hashem together with the spiritual energy of the Rav who blessed our daughter. This combination was the perfect prescription for my daughter’s recovery.
I would like to mention an interesting fact. When we came to ask the Rav for a berachah, another couple arrived with their very sick son. They, too, requested a berachah for good health for their beloved child. But the Rav turned to them sorrowfully and said that it was too late for his blessing. The boy passed away a week later. The Rav’s ancestors stand beside him, assisting him in his holy work.
Scientifically as well as spiritually, my daughter’s case is perfect proof that faith carries weight. The forces of emunah, kedushah, and sanctity of the soul can effect tremendous miracles. In the merit of these factors, my daughter lives.
Faith in Hashem and His messengers is capable of rescinding harsh decrees and even death.
