Braced by the Blessing

Braced by the Blessing

In 1998, Mrs. Dina Cohen brought her young daughter to see Rabbi David Pinto, shlita. She bitterly related that her daughter couldn’t walk. She was fitted with braces, which hopefully would help her. After Rabbi David saw the child, he turned to her mother, and asked, “Why can’t your child walk?” Without waiting for an answer, he pounded on his desk and promised that with Hashem’s help, the girl would walk. He added that it was of utmost importance that they pray daily for her complete recovery, in the merit of the tzaddik, Rabbi Chaim Pinto, zy”a.

Things turned out just as the Rav had predicted. That very night, the girl suddenly stopped breathing. As she lay unconscious, her parents rushed her to the hospital. After various treatments, the girl opened her eyes. In a most miraculous manner, she suddenly stood up and walked around like an ordinary person, with no crutches or any other support.

One year later, Mrs. Cohen returned with her now walking daughter, to Rabbi David. This time, she came to express her gratitude for the amazing wonder which her child experienced due to the berachah bestowed on her in the merit of his holy fathers.
