Awakened by a Prayer
When I was receiving the public in Canada, a woman asked me, “Does the Rav remember me?” I apologized, but said that I did not. Then she told over her story:
A number of years ago, I lay unconscious for a long time, in a deep coma. When the Rav came to Canada that year, he came to visit me in the hospital. My family related that when he entered my room, he blessed me with the words, “In the merit of the tzaddik, Rabbi Chaim Pinto, you will return to normal.”
The doctors, at that point, had all but given up hope on me. But shortly after the Rav’s blessing, I underwent a miracle. That very day, I stood up and began to recover. It was all in the zechut of the Rav’s blessing in the merit of Rabbi Chaim Pinto, zy”a.
I have come now to thank the Rav for his berachah, which materialized completely. A great kiddush Hashem resulted in the hospital, and many did teshuvah on account of it.
