Time – A Living Reality

Time – A Living Reality

A young man told me that he had been acquainted with a young lady for a long period of time, but they were afraid of getting married. When I asked how long they had known each other, he replied six years.

“You have known each other for six years, and you have not gotten married yet?” I was flabbergasted.

Nonplussed, the man replied, “Yes. But we don’t know each other well enough to get married.”

“By the time my wife and I were acquainted for six years,” I told him, “we were already married and had four children. And you feel that you don’t know this woman well enough to marry her by now?!”

How great is the value of time! One person can spend it profitably in setting the scene for his life’s mission, while another wastes it in nothingness. We must etch into our hearts the message that time is precious. As long as we live, we can build worlds.
