Caravans of Confidence
The number of pupils in our Talmud Torah in Ashdod had grown significantly. The crowded conditions were crushing. At the beginning of the school year, I promised the principals that I would donate five caravans, in which the pupils could learn with peace of mind.
I had been depending on a pledge of a wealthy individual abroad in order to fund these caravans, but his donation was delayed. Meanwhile, the administration was counting on the caravans.
Realizing I could not rely on the donation from chutz la’aretz, I took the necessary funds from the monies of the institutions, which were earmarked for the stipends of the kollel men. With a heart full of bitachon that Hashem would not let me down, I transferred the funds to the Talmud Torah administrators.
That very day, I received an envelope. The amount it held was enough to cover this tremendous expense, plus payment for the avrechim!
I clearly saw that one who places his trust in Hashem, fully believing that He is a loving Father Who does good to all creatures and takes care of their needs, receives Divine help in all his endeavors.
