She had been diagnosed with a malignant growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAre you prepared to accept mitzvot upon yourself?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n<p>She answered that in order to recover, she would do anything. I took a fruit from the table and told her to eat it. In the merit of her teshuvah, she would be completely cured. She did as I said. When she went for re-testing, there was no reminder of her previous illness.<\/p>\n<p><em>It was not the fruit, but the power of her teshuvah which effected her cure.
