She said that Hashem should consider her to be a different person and therefore remove the harsh decree which was placed upon her.<\/p>\n<p>I thought long and hard about which name to give her. Finally, I opened a Tanach at random. I read the following pasuk from Chumash <em>Shemot<\/em> (8:19), \u201c\u05d5\u05e9\u05de\u05ea\u05d9 \u05e4\u05d3\u05d5\u05ea \u05d1\u05d9\u05df \u05e2\u05de\u05d9 \u05d5\u05d1\u05d9\u05df \u05e2\u05de\u05da \u05dc\u05de\u05d7\u05e8 \u05d9\u05d4\u05d9\u05d4 \u05d4\u05d0\u05d5\u05ea \u05d4\u05d6\u05d4 \u2013 I shall make a distinction between My people and your people \u2013 tomorrow this sign will come about.\u201d The word \u05e4\u05d3\u05d5\u05ea (distinction) can also mean <em>redemption<\/em> or <em>release<\/em>. I therefore instructed her to adopt the name \u05e4\u05d3\u05d5\u05ea. I blessed her that Hashem would release her from the bonds of her illness and send her a complete recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the woman suffered more agony, until she eventually returned her soul to her Maker.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Torah portion containing this pasuk was read the week the woman passed away. I saw this as a Heavenly sign that although she was not cured, there was some purpose in the act of adding this name.
