I asked them to undertake the mitzvah of <em>taharat hamishpachah<\/em>, so that my blessing should have something to take effect on.<\/p>\n<p>Only one of the women was stirred by my words. Despite her friend\u2019s persuasive arguments, she replied, with strength of character, \u201cIf this is the Rav\u2019s advice, I believe that in the merit of this mitzvah, I will have a child.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A year later, this woman returned with a set of twins.<\/p>\n<p><em>Observing her friend\u2019s tremendous joy, the skeptical woman decided to take the plunge, as well.
