For personal reasons, I could not meet his request, and instead, offered him a gift of a considerable amount of money.<\/p>\n<p>He refused to accept my gift and stalked out of my room in anger.<\/p>\n<p>Seeing this, I called him back. \u201cWhy are you angry at me, to the extent that you don\u2019t even say \u2018good bye\u2019?\u201d I asked. \u201cDo you take me for the Creator? Do you think I have the power to do everything you ask?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou should know,\u201d I continued, \u201cthat I often travel to <em>chutz la\u2019aretz<\/em> in order to raise funds. Whenever I trust in people, I am disappointed. But when I place my trust in Hashem, with full knowledge that He is in charge of my affairs, I am successful. We have an Almighty Father in Heaven \u2013 ask from Him whatever you need, and He will surely come to your aid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The man calmed down and left my room in a happy state.<\/p>\n<p>The next day, I met him and asked, \u201cIs there any news regarding your worries?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot yet,\u201d he replied. \u201cBut I have faith in Father!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After another few days, I met him again, and asked again after his financial situation. This time, he answered me with real joy. \u201cThank you so much,\u201d he began. \u201cYour advice was invaluable. Just today, I received a call from my wife\u2019s relatives in Holland. In the course of the conversation, they offered me ten thousand dollars!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>I was so happy to hear about his windfall from Holland. I told him, \u201cA few days ago, you asked me for a loan of two thousand dollars, which I could not grant you. But when you turned to Hashem, you received many times that amount!
