I saw that he had invested a lot in this meeting, having traveled a great distance for it and waiting in the long line of petitioners.<\/p>\n<p>I assumed this young man had come to ask for a <em>berachah<\/em> for himself. But after discussing the matter with him, I realized that he had come on behalf of his friend.<\/p>\n<p>I offered his friend the blessing this man requested. I presumed that he would utilize the opportunity to ask for a <em>berachah<\/em> for himself, as well. After all, he had exerted himself so much; didn\u2019t he at least deserve some sort of commission for his efforts?<\/p>\n<p>But, once again, this true friend showed his true colors. He came on behalf of his friend and left when his mission was accomplished.<\/p>\n<p><em>I understood that this young man\u2019s motives were purely l\u2019shem Shamayim, with no ulterior interests whatsoever.
